Description
CPVC is an upgraded engineering plastic of PVC, featuring high temperature resistance, strong corrosion resistance, and high flame retardancy. It can be used continuously at 95℃ and is specifically designed for hot water, fire protection, chemical, and high-end pipe applications.
Common Applications
• Hot and cold water pipes, fire sprinkler pipes, chemical corrosion-resistant pipes, electrical insulation components, high-end sheets/bars.
1. Super High Temperature Resistance (Core Strength)
• Vicat softening point: 90–125℃ (20–40℃ higher than PVC).
• Long-term use: 95℃, short-term up to 110℃; preferred for hot water, fire protection, and high-temperature industrial pipes.
2. Strong Resistance to Acid and Alkali Corrosion
• Resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, salts, oxidants, and chlorine; does not rust, scale, or corrode by residual chlorine.
• Strength retention rate >90% after immersion in acids and alkalis at 80℃, suitable for chemical, electroplating, and chlor-alkali industries.
3. High Flame Retardancy, Low Smoke Safety
• Limiting Oxygen Index > 60%, self-extinguishing upon removal of flame, no dripping, minimal smoke.
• High fire resistance, suitable for fire sprinkler pipes, public places, and electrical insulation.
4. High Mechanical Strength, Stable Pressure Resistance
• Tensile/bending strength approximately 30%–50% higher than PVC, creep resistant and non-deformable at high temperatures.
• Can be used under pressure for extended periods; thin wall, material-saving and weight-reducing (approximately 1/5 the weight of steel pipe).
5. Good Insulation, Long Weather Resistance
• Excellent electrical insulation, suitable for wire ducts, cable protection, and electrical accessories.
• Resistant to aging and UV radiation; does not yellow for outdoor use; lifespan 50+ years.
6. Environmentally Friendly, Hygienic, and Easy to Install
• Non-toxic and odorless; NSF certified for use in drinking water pipes.
• Adhesive connection; fast construction, good sealing, and low maintenance.
