Acrylate-based processing aids are a type of functional additives whose core component is an acrylate copolymer. They are mainly used to enhance the rheological properties, plasticization efficiency, and final product quality of high-molecular materials during the processing stage.The main component of acrylic ester processing aids is acrylic ester copolymer. Common types include methyl methacrylate (MMA)/acrylic ester copolymer.
The mechanism of its action mainly relies on the physical entanglement and polar interaction between the polymer chain segments and the molecular chains of the base resin (such as polyvinyl chloride PVC), thereby promoting resin melting, enhancing melt strength and improving fluidity.
