DESCRIPTION
2-ETHYLHEXYLTHIOGHYCOLATE is a colorless,transparent and easy-flowing oily iquid at room temperature.The pure product has a special smell,is insoluble in water,and can be miscible with organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.2-ETHYLHEXYLTHIOGHYCOLATE has weak acidity and can react with alkaline substances such as sodium hydroxide to form corresponding metal salts.
It is used as an important intermediate in the fields of pesticides,medicines,organic synthesis,and fine chemicals;it is the main raw material for the production of tin mercaptides and antimony mercaptides; it is used as heat stabilizers and plasticizers for halogenated polyolefins; it can also be used as PVC Branch chain inhibitor and bisphenol A catalyst during resin polymerization.
