On the evening of March 19, the 2025 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards ceremony, hosted by Ringier Industrial Media, was held in grand style in Shanghai. Mr. Jerry Wang, Chairman of FCS Group, was invited to attend and delivered a comprehensive presentation on the FB-R Series 5th-Generation Multi-Component Injection Molding Machine. This model was also awarded the 2025 Ringier Technology Innovation Award, once again showcasing FCS’s strong technical expertise and outstanding innovation capabilities, fully empowering the industry.

FCS began developing two-color machines in 1984. Since the launch of the representative FB Series in 1990, the series has become a benchmark in the multi-color, multi-material injection molding industry, thanks to its excellent performance and wide range of applications. To further enhance product competitiveness, FCS developed the 5th-Generation FB Series High-Precision Multi-Component Injection Molding Machine with energy efficiency and environmental protection as the core design concepts, and high efficiency and stability as production goals. This new model not only features an optimized exterior but also integrates multiple new functions to better meet user needs and expectations.

The FB-R Series (5th Generation) introduces a brand-new clamping mechanism to further improve energy efficiency, resulting in a 15% increase in overall machine rigidity. After upgrading the rotary table specifications, mold load capacity has increased by 10%, and the adoption of a high-end electric rotary table boosts production speed by 10%. In terms of detailed design, the ejector and toggle use lubricated steel pipes, and the clamping unit is equipped with linear guides. The non-contact design between the moving platen and tie bars contributes to a 15% improvement in mold opening/closing speed. Additionally, the hydraulic base now operates on a linear rail structure for more precise control, and the injection unit is equipped with linear guides as well, ultimately achieving 10% energy savings.

To prevent damage caused by negative pressure bubbles during oil suction by the pump, the entire electro-hydraulic servo unit adopts an oil return filtration system, significantly improving energy conversion efficiency and ensuring smoother injection processing.

Regarding product precision, the FB-R Series integrates the electro-hydraulic servo unit and electric injection unit with a shared rectifier power supply. This setup allows the host controller to command the inverter units and servo motors directly, enhancing both precision and stability, with injection repeat positioning accuracy reaching 0.01 mm.

To enhance user convenience, the FB-R Series has undergone a complete system upgrade. The user interface (UI) and operation experience have been optimized, and several new user functions have been added. This not only improves equipment accuracy and response speed by 20% but also allows real-time energy consumption monitoring and optimization, resulting in improved energy efficiency. The fully upgraded power system has also increased overall system pressure by 50%.

In terms of appearance, the FB-R Series (5th Generation) maintains its high-quality look and durability. The overall footprint has been reduced by 15% for machines of the same specification. Its ergonomic modular sheet metal design facilitates maintenance, and the new weld-free piping design ensures the machine is more eco-friendly, safe, stable, and reliable.
