The DMTA series twin-screw extruder is designed as a regular torque system, ideal for a wide range of conventional plastic modification applications as well as materials with low viscosity and high melt flow index (MFI). The machine consists of two main sections: the driving system and the processing system.
The driving system includes a high-performance gearbox and motor. Depending on the application requirements, both AC and DC motor options are available to ensure stable and efficient operation.
The processing system features co-rotating twin screw shafts, modular screw elements, and a segmented barrel design. The barrel includes feeding, closed, and venting sections to accommodate different processing stages. The screw length-to-diameter (L/D) ratio can be customized according to specific process requirements. DEMA has developed a wide range of screw elements tailored to various materials and technologies, enabling functions such as conveying, melting, mixing, shearing, devolatilization, reaction, and compression.
In addition to standard main feeding, side feeding, and liquid feeding options, the system can be equipped with advanced feeding solutions such as vertical forced feeders, conical feeders, and loss-in-weight multi-component dosing systems, ensuring precise and flexible material handling.
